Tasting NotesMerlot / Cabernet Franc

The 2018 Merlot/Franc has dark fruit flavours with a touch of oak and soft, supple tannins. A blend of 99% Merlot lifted with a hint of Cabernet Franc for added colour and floral aromas. Food friendly and very drinkable now, but will cellar comfortably for 4-6 years if you can hold out that long.

The 2016 Merlot/Franc is another great value red from another warm vintage. Bob Campbell rated it his best buy in the middle of 2018, and even better than that, he suggested it was punching well above it's weight and worth significantly more than our $20 website price. Michael Cooper also gave it a 4 star thumbs up. Perfect drinking coming into cooler weather.

2016 Merlot/Franc  - 90/100  4 stars

Dark plum flavours with subtle aromatic oak and soft, fine tannins. A blend of 95% Merlot lifted with 5% Cabernet Franc for deeper colour, tannin and aromas. Food friendly and hugely drinkable now, but will cellar comfortably for 3-5 years. If you must.
